Translating Sermons
How to read a sermon's transcript in your preferred language.
2 min read
Berea can automatically translate sermon transcripts so you can read along in your native language, even if the sermon was delivered in another one.
Supported languages
Berea supports 14 languages for both transcription and translation: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, German, Hindi, Russian, Japanese, Italian, Dutch, and Filipino.
Enabling translation
- 1Go to Settings → Language.
- 2Set your App Language to your preferred reading language.
- 3Enable Translation in the same settings screen.
- 4On any sermon where the recording language differs from the app language, the translation will be generated automatically during post-processing.
Viewing translated content
In the Transcript tab, a display mode picker at the top lets you choose:
- Both — original and translated text side by side.
- Original — the untranslated transcript only.
- Translation — the translated version only.
Summaries, prayers, quizzes, and all other study content are generated in the translation language when a translation is present — so your entire study experience can happen in your preferred language.
Tip
Translation is a Premium feature. Free tier users can still view the original transcript in all its accuracy — just without the automatic language conversion.
